Thousands of frightened women and elderly people — their faces pale, their voices trembling. Villages scattered with the bodies of murdered civilians and animals. I will not even begin to speak about the executions of peaceful residents, the rapes, and the countless other atrocities.
This is not war.
This is not the law of wartime.
This is not even genocide.
This is an invasion carried out by those who have lost their humanity.
You are too afraid to say out loud what you are doing to us.
A setup? A fake? Propaganda?
Is that why we leave our homes — so you can destroy them?
We stand freezing for hours at the borders of countries we never planned to live in. We wear donated clothes and are grateful for a small corner to sleep in, even though we have homes of our own.
For what?
So someone can call it a fake? A staged performance?
Yes, something breaks inside you when you enter our homes. Because we lived with dignity — cleanly, fully, beautifully. And you continue to destroy everything around you, as if destruction were the only language you know, leaving behind filth where you eat and sleep. This is not a metaphor. It is reality.
And no, it is not only one man’s fault. It is the responsibility of those who choose hatred, who allow themselves to become a faceless crowd driven by violence.
You may take lives.
But you will never build a good life on what you destroy.
Perhaps I cannot change the world.
But I will continue to speak out.
And I will continue to fight — for life, for dignity, and for creativity.
